Tip: Industrial pneumatic rivet gun troubleshooting

• The rivets can’t insert the nozzle.
  Reasons:
  1. The distance of the nozzle is not adjusted and the jaws are not open.
  2. The nozzle doesn’t match with the rivets.
  3. A broken rivet tip is still in the air rivet gun.
  4. There are burrs at the outlet of the nozzle and the rivet tip.
  Solutions:
  1. Adjust the distance according to regulations.
  2. Change the right nozzle match with rivets.
  3. Replace the head of air riveter.

• The tips of blind rivets can’t be pull down.
  Reasons:
  1. The jaws wear and tear.
  2. Oil loss in the hydraulic cylinder.
  3. The air source pressure is below the rated value.
  Solutions:
  1. Replace the jaws.
  2. Refuel in the hydraulic cylinder after check.
  3. Don’t use the air riveter until the air source pressure achieves the rated value.

• The air riveter can’t grasp rivets.
  Reasons:
  1. The jaws wear and tear.
  2. The spring wear and tear.
  3. There are impurities among the jaws.
  Solutions:
  1. Replace the jaws.
  2. Change the spring.
  3. Clean impurities.

• The gas and oil mist spray out from air outlet.
  Reason:
  Water is mixed in the compressed air.
  Solution:
  Clean the water in the air separator and air compression pump.
