Tips: Advantages of wafer type pneumatic butterfly valve

The main advantages of the wafer type pneumatic butterfly valve are simple structure, small volume, light weight, low cost and so on. It can be installed in the upper dark tunnel, pipeline and other places to regulate the flow of the medium. Large diameter pneumatic butterfly valve has a lager effective circulation area when it is fully open, and it has small fluid resistance. That will make the butterfly valve easy open and close (the disc can complete opening and closing through 90 degree rotation). The air actuator’s opening and closing torque are small due to the medium forces from the disc in the rotation axis are nearly equal and the torque is in the opposite direction, which can achieve good sealing at low pressure. There are many butterfly valve sealing materials, such as PTFE, EPDM, FEP, NBR and VITON etc. EPDM material has high performance, no matter under the condition of low temperature or high temperature have good sealing.
