Tips: Identify 6-point socket good or not

There are many 6-point socket manufacturers on the market now. When choosing, we should learn to distinguish the socket good from bad.

When identifying a 6-point socket, you can first see whether its size meet the standard, whether the edges are smooth, and whether there are scratches on the surface. It is the most basic that the 6-point socket meets the standard, and a good hexagon socket must have smooth edges and no scratches on the surface.

In addition to looking at the appearance, it also depends on the material and the corresponding hardness value when buying 6-point sockets. Some professional equipment can measure the torque and hardness of the sockets, or the salt spray test can be used. Please note that the hardness value of a professional-grade socket should not be lower than HRC40. If it is an impact socket, the hardness must be above HRC44 and it can be barely used. But if there is no high-quality heat treatment, the result is naturally terrible.

    Nice tools
I bought 6 1/4-inch metric sockets. They are shown to be amazingly strong and durable. The chrome material made is excellent. These sockets are cheap and practical. These are really great sockets.
