Tips: Pneumatic Actuated Butterfly Valve Troubleshooting

1. The pneumatic butterfly valve can’t fully closed and leak
Causes
a. The solenoid valve is blocked, causing the compressed air cannot enter or discharge the air cylinder.
b. Air pressure is less than 5kg
c. The pneumatic actuator is air leakage, leading to unable to work normally.
d. The closed position limit block of the pneumatic actuator is loose, causing the pneumatic actuator in place and the butterfly valve not in the place.
Solutions
a. Use the air hose to directly feed compressed air into the pneumatic actuator. If it works normally, there is a problem with the solenoid valve and the solenoid valve needs to be replaced.
b. Raise air source to 5 kg or increase to 6 kg.
c. Replace a new pneumatic actuator.
d. Adjust the closed position limit block of the pneumatic actuator so that the butterfly valve and the pneumatic actuator are consistent.

2. Pneumatic butterfly valve closed excessively and leakage
Cause
The closed position limit block of the pneumatic actuator is loose, causing the pneumatic actuator in place but the butterfly valve closed excessively.
Solution
Adjust the closed position limit block to align the butterfly valve with the pneumatic actuator.
