Electromagnetic Flow Meter Applications
Tips: How does an electromagnetic flow meter measure liquid flow?
Magnetic flow meters work on the Faraday principle of electromagnetic induction. When an electrically conductive liquid flows through a magnetic field mounted inside a pipe, it generates a voltage proportional to the flow rate. The electrodes inside the flow meter detect this voltage and convert it into a corresponding flow value. This measurement method is independent of the temperature, pressure and density of the liquid and is particularly suitable for measuring a wide range of conductive liquids such as water, sewage and chemical liquids.
