Why must all the mortar between the tiles be removed by grout joint tools before grouting?

1. The joints between tiles are too dirty. Many people have new home decorations, but there are also old houses that need beautiful joints. The ceramic tiles have been used for many years, and the joints have long been black and yellow, piled with white cement and dust, and some are still very humid. These need to be cleaned up and provide clean gaps for construction, otherwise it will affect the curing of sealants.

2. The gaps are too small. A gap of 1.5mm or more can be used to receive enought sealants. If the tile gaps are too small, it will affect the thermal expansion and contraction of the tile. The gaps can be widened if user can scrape both sides of the gaps and clean the unwanted materials.

3. Gap depth is insufficient. The depth of seams needs to be more than 2mm, otherwise the sealant will easily fall off. If the bottom of the tile gap has dust or the bottom is not flat, the adhesion of the sealant will be weakened.
