Tips: What need to know when using an air pop riveter
1. Air consumption of air tools and capacity of air compressors
The pneumatic rivet gun as an air tool requires a certain amount of compressed air to work. The essential condition when you select an air compressor is that it has a relatively sufficient capacity. If the capacity of the air compressor is insufficient, the air riveter chances to stop work. Generally, an air powered riveter with the air consumption of 1.0m3/min can be used continuously with a 0.75 Kw air compressor.
2. Right air pressure
An air rivet gun with the air pressure of 0.6MPa (85 PSI) works efficiently. The air pressure below 0.6MPa will decrease in work efficiency. And It will lead to the fault if the air pressure is above 0.7MPa (102 PSI).
3. Remove the moisture
The moisture in air compressor and pipe must be cleaned every time.
4. Maintenance
Before and after use, be sure to drop air pressure oil to lubricate the air tool and prevent rust. Don’t place the rivet gun here and there to prevent dust or other foreign matter from entering the tool.
