Tips: How to correctly confirm the model of the bit socket?

    1. Determine the type of bit socket head required.
The most commonly used automotive bit sockets are divided into five types according to the head type, such as: Phillips bit socket, slotted bit socket, torx bit socket, spline bit socket and hex bit socket. There are also some less commonly used head types, such as triangle, square, U-shaped, cross with column, cross flat head and so on.
    2. Determine the size of the bit socket.
      • Determine the diameter of the screw to be disassembled. For example, the screw is M4 (the diameter of the thread is 4mm), and then choose a car bit socket with a 4mm diameter for disassembly.
      • If it is a Phillips screw cap, determine the size of the screw cap cross pattern. If it is thin, then selecting a sharp bit socket. And choose an obtuse one if the cross pattern is wide.
    3. Determine the depth of the screw hole.
If the depth of the screw hole is 20mm, choose a bit with a length greater than 40mm.
