Air rivet gun troubleshootingAir Rivet Gun

    Situations

    1. The mandrel of the rivet cannot be broken by the air rivet gun.
    2. The mandrel of the rivet cannot be automatically discharged after being broken.
    3. Press the trigger without driving the rivet and the air rivet gun only exhausts the air.

    Reasons

    1. The oil in the cylinder is insufficient, making the stroke of the air rivet gun short. The jaws and the push rod have worn out. The jaw sleeve is too close to the front of the jaws.
    2. The nozzle does not match with the rivets and the jaw sleeve is too far back to open.
    3. The O-rings of the trigger and piston are damaged.

    Solutions

    1. Fill some hydraulic oil in the cylinder. Replace the jaws and push rod. Adjust the claw sleeve to the right position.
    2. Change the nozzle that matches the rivets.
    3. Replace the O-rings.

Here are some tips for your reference when using a pneumatic riveter

    1. Before use, drop a small amount of lubricating oil into the air inlet in order to maintain the performance and service life of the pneumatic riveter.
    2. Use the specified air pressure. If the air pressure is too low, the power of the air riveter will be reduced. If the air pressure is too high, it will cause the rivet gun damage.
    3. Don’t press the trigger until the rivet gun’s nozzle grasps the rivet tightly, otherwise the piston will do reciprocating motion to use up some of the energy and hit the inner wall, causing rivet gun damage.
    4. Hold the air rivet gun with your one hand and press the trigger to start it. You could adjust the compressed air with the button to make sure the rivet gun works stability.
    5. The size of the rivet must be the same as the nozzle of the pneumatic riveting gun, otherwise it will decrease the working efficiency and damage this air tool.
